The Serantes Kultur Aretoa theatre and cinematographic arts centre was first established in 1995 with three venues, seating capacity as following: Venue 1: 600 seats, Venue 2: 194 seats, and Venue 3: 190 seats.
In addition to the regular events, Serantes Kultur Aretoa hosts the Santurtzi International Theatre Festival, launched in 1979, as the oldest theatre festival in Bizkaia and one of the oldest in Spain.
