In Bilbao’s Casco Viejo, housed in a 1920s building that once accommodated the famous Zubicaray department stores and located next to the Arriaga Theater, Hotel Tayko opened its doors in 2019.
During the renovation, several unique elements of the original building were preserved, such as the concrete structure, wooden staircase, and stained glass windows.
Hotel Tayko is a lifestyle hotel featuring 54 rooms with stunning views of the Ría or Merced Street. Decorated in shades of black and gray, the rooms boast wooden floors and extra-wide 2-meter beds. The architectural interior design emphasizes the beauty of textures and colors.
