Gipuzkoan chef Martín Berasategui disembarks in the Casco Viejo in Bilbao.
His return to Bilbao has been one of the news of the season. To many they made their mouths water knowing that Martin Berasategui would disembark in the Old Part of Bilbao as responsible for the fires of the new Tayko hotel.
Martín Berasategui Olazábal is a famous Basque chef and owner of an eponymous restaurant in Lasarte, Spain. He holds ten Michelin stars in total, more than any other Spanish chef.
the gastronomic restaurant Ola occupies the first floor of the hotel, and the gastrobar Patri is at street level. It is an open and flexible space where you can have breakfast, drink a glass of wine, chop a few portions or sit down to eat as you wish.
Despite having the signature of a ten Michelin star, its cuisine is informal and more accessible, inspired with much pride in the life-long taverns of the Old Part “Casco Viejo” of Bilbao.
