In the Old Town of Bilbao, you’ll find Surfin’ Tacos, a 100% authentic Mexican taquería.

Mexican chef Edgardo Nieto and his team prepare tacos that are absolutely out of this world—from classic options to more creative specialties, and other delicious treats.

They’ve brought the bold and modern flavors of Mexico City’s taquerías to Bilbao, all in a vibrant space with great music, a cool vibe, and stylish decor.

Tacos and other mouthwatering treats

There’s plenty to try—and everything is freshly made right in front of you, using top-quality ingredients.

Starters and “botanas” include guacamole with totopos, corn tortillas, and homemade spicy salsas.

Classic tacos like al pastor, carnitas, cochinita pibil, chicken tinga, beef tongue, and arrachera.

Vegetarian tacos like mushroom tinga and Veggie Surfin’.

Specialties such as spicy shrimp quesadillas, soft shell crab tacos with jalapeño tartar, octopus and pork crackling quesadillas, Los Cabos-style tuna quesadilla, and the Gringa al pastor.

To drink: Jarritos, Mexican beers, micheladas, sodas, margaritas, tequila, and mezcal.

Since 2023: New Surfin’ Tacos on Pozas

The new Surfin’ Tacos location opened at Licenciado Poza 41.

Unlike the original taquería in the Old Town, this one features the “TACOS DE 10”.

Why “Tacos de 10”?
Chef Edgardo Nieto explains the name pays tribute to the classic 10 cm tortilla used in taco stalls all over Mexico—the real deal, just like in the streets of CDMX.
And also because they’re a solid 10/10—absolutely delicious!
