Duplex Bilbao is the result of years dedicated to the world of hospitality. Patricia de la Torre and Chef Kenneth Mendezhave created this new restaurant concept in the center of Bilbao.
Their kitchen is a fusion of modern flavors, or, as they say define them, “related to what we were and connected to what we are.”
At Duplex Bilbao they appreciate that every day we are more and more connected to the rest of the world and influenced by other cultures that bring us different flavors and experiences. This is what makes their cuisine modern with innovative touches all the while respectful of tradition and with love in every dish.
At Duplex Bilbao you can start your day with a smile, their breakfasts are delicious and varied: from Spanish omelettes made with organic eggs and sourdough bread, pancakes with syrup and whipped cream, toast, croissants, homemade pastries, quiches, hot chocolate, frappes, granola with organic yogurt…all the way to a “glamour” breakfast that begins with half a dozen Fine Claire oysters and a flute of DG Viticultors cava.
The fresh juices at Duplex are now famous. The perfect combination of ingredients brings forth the very best antioxidant / relaxing / anti-cholesterol / or energizing juices all made with a base of fresh, natural produce: celery, apple, broccoli, spinach, ginger, lemon, orange, pear, carrot, strawberries, green tea matcha, etc. etc.
Enjoy a complete brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 14:00.
The pintxos, snacks and tapas will make you go crazy: crab croquettes, salmon toast, yakitoris, sliders, edamame, etc. etc. One look at the bar will open a world of possibilities.
The mini-plates are a great option for those times when you don’t want tapas but you aren’t in the mood for a full entrée either. For example, wrinkled potatoes soaked in spicy foam, a Singapore-style chili-crab, red tuna tataki with soy salsa and hummus, Belgian-style mussels, pea falafel with yogurt and cilantro salsa, etc. etc.

From the sea to your table: from an impressive cod with miso sauce, black garlic and garlic chips, to fried red mullet fillets or a hake bruschetta with tamarind and guacamole salsa. At Duplex Bilbao, they know how to prepare these and other treasures from the sea with love.
From the Farm
If you prefer earth-born produce, you can try a delicious Wagyu steak, duck breast with shitake mushrooms, or elk fillet with chestnut cream, amongst other surprising plates, all made with the best meat.
